Naked VS Revolution

There was definitely a point in my life (not too long ago) when I couldn't understand people who had the effort or the knowledge to apply eye shadow. Until some of my friends eventually talked me into buying a Revolution palette to test my abilities, eye shadow eventually became my one true love. After a month of owning a Revolution palette I decided to take the plunge and purchase the Naked 1 palette which is the 'original' of the Makeup Revolution palette that I already own.

Revolution
The palette was an instant love for me as the colours within the palette range from the prettiest pinks to a stunning copper and a deep indulgent grape shadow. The use of this palette is endless with easy going day to day looks to dramatic night looks. The shadows are highly pigmented with long lasting staying power even without an eye primer but with an eye primer the shadows easily last all day. The applicator that is provided with the set is great for on the go looks when you've spent too long curling your hair, however the eye shadows do appear on the eye much better when a brush has been used rather than the applicator provided. The only downside to this product is the glitter within some of the shadows, as they drop onto your cheeks and are pain in the ass to get off so expect a sparkly face when using the shimmer shadows.

Naked
I must have stared at my basket for 20 minutes before I finally checked out and took the plunge and bought my first full Naked palette, as £38.50 is a lot of money to waste on a product you may never use, but after swearing as I pressed check out I have been obsessed with this palette. There isn't a single thing that I am able to fault with this palette; the colours are incredible, they last all day (and all night) and are highly pigmented. The looks are endless with this palette as the shadows are incredibly easy to blend together to create a variety of looks. With the palette you also receive a double ended brush which is amazing for applying the shadows as it allows you to apply to shadow and to blend the colours together, the mirror within the palette is also perfect for on the go looks and even when you're at your dressing table and want precision with your eyeshadow.

Overall if you're looking to try out eyeshadow the Revolution palette is a great way to learn how to apply it and to create various looks but the Naked palette is a life long investment and I highly recommend it!
